We love our volunteers!

If you love history, architecture and the arts, consider volunteering as a docent or greeter at the Green-Meldrim House.  We conduct education and training sessions on a regular basis for new guides and greeters and invite you to choose the days you want to volunteer according to your schedule.

Training sessions

Tour Guide Training - Volunteer Docents Needed: Green Meldrim House offers volunteer docent/tour guide training four times a year. Docents lead tours and assist with programs for people from around the world who visit the historic house. Green-Meldrim House is a National Historic Landmark, one the finest examples of Gothic Revival Architecture in the South, and the setting of significant historic events including being General William T. Sherman’s headquarters at the termination of the March to the Sea. For information call Jamie Credle at 912-233-3845  or email her at jcredle@greenmeldrimhouse.org.
